TMB - NoFriendz

DMTV presents TMB’s NoFriendz (Directed By Maxim Bayarsky). NoFriendz immediately caught my attention as the perfect style and sound of a new wave of hip-hop. There is a building community of young rap talents with a new age sound. It had the energy and cadence I was looking for and we decided to shoot it in his community. The shots varied from shooting in his local convenience store where he goes every day and a condo parking lot near his school. These were simple and quick run and gun locations but we made the most of them. This was also the night before my Miami trip and the weather was horrible. It was freezing, the equipment started malfunctioning and I had to cut the outdoor set short. We then made our way to TMB’s workplace and shot in the warehouse giving this industrial look and feel that was just different. I mixed kept the sets simple to give myself a more challenging editing process. I enjoy coming up with new ideas and creating something new and fresh. I enjoy the very planned-out video but there is something about running and gunning that just makes you truly open your mind and work that creative muscle. With that being said, TMB is a bright young talent with a growing discography and some bangers on the way.
